  • Hello, I'm Cora!

I'm a current student at UC San Diego. I design and put together graphics, logos and flyers for local organizations, such as MSJ PUPS (Parents of Universal Performers) and MPPFA (Mission Possible Parent Faculty Association) from my high school. Currently, I'm a visual designer for Yonder Dynamics, UCSD's student-run mars rover team. I create infographics and visuals for Yonder's social media and website, make t-shirt designs, and keep Yonder's branding consistent.

  • Creator's Statement

By a creator of shapes and forms within a world of quirky beginnings

I practice art by creating tension to challenge existing norms,

when I fold, bend, pleat and pin paper to create a civil war of paper against itself in a quiet revolution.

I practice art by integrating ideas that seem to have nothing in common,

when I clash, merge, blend, and breathe life anew into my design conceptions.

I practice art by capturing the essence that makes the living come alive,

when I rearrange perspectives to expose the unseen.

I practice art by recreating the past to celebrate the present,

through the process in which I find the compulsion to innovate.

I practice art for what art is--a medium of expression where I find influences to make decisions by taking a subject’s contextual background into consideration. Through art, I deconstruct ideas to understand, and with this understanding, I reconstruct to create.
